2. To change the MTU size of the 10-Gbit Ethernet adapter, enter the following,

where N is the number of the adapter:

[root@linux root]# ifconfig ethN mtu mtu_size

For example:

[root@linux root]# ifconfig eth2 mtu 1500

3. To verify that the MTU size has been changed, enter the following:

[root@linux root]# netstat -i

For example:

[root@linux root]# netstat -i
